I wanted to write down a long comment talking about this episode and MC's thought process of how he arrives to "I'm trash" but it's not worth my time so I will simplify it to saying that the main character is literally retarded at this point.

He may learn when he gets into a fight with another person and can see the difference in power between them. He hasnt really had the chance to compare his skill level to another person yet except running around with beasts in a previous episode.

Nah, even if he one-punches every enemy, he will make up some excuse like "There msut be a plague going around, leaving everyone almost dead while I am super healthy. Otherwise no way I could ever even win in the first place" or nonsense like that -.-

but still, this is gladly eons and universes away from the tr ash that called itself "Platinum end" :-)

While he is slow and everyone is right to complain about him as I also have for several episodes, even still, he is starting to suspect that he is actually cultivating very quickly due to the miracle bead he ate at the start. He knows the cultivation liquid is not strong enough to let him do a years worth of work in clearing his meridians in just 3 days. So, I think he realizes that his fast cultivation speed is in fact fact and that this is a result of the miracle bead. The elder auntie even asked him this episode if he ate some miracle medicine in this very episode. So, he knows what is going on here. However he is deliberately hiding the fact that he ate it for whatever reason, perhaps this is related to the secret that he is actually from another world and he is not the person who they think he is. In fact, if something like that were to really happen, it would be more realistic to make it a psychological thriller where you try not to let everyone know you are an imposter. It would be mentally draining and stressful all the time. You would always be worried that you might be discovered and imprisoned or killed as an alien or possessing spirit, like a demon.

That is one possible reason why he doesnt say it. The other is because the miracle bead treasure is something that may cause him to be hunted down to get it like we've been seeing in the latest episodes of Wu Shen Zhu Zai.

How is he living like that like no self consciousness

them constantly telling him he is not talented is so fucking stupid they are turning him into a giant pussy and its going to get people killed that could be saved if he knew he was strong enough witch he is

I know MC is only cultivating because he wants to go back to his original world. So being alive and not being a target seems to be his main aim which understandable, I don’t believe he doesn’t know his cultivation is fast but pretending that he is less than seems to be a safer option than boasting about his strength.
